WHAT IS WORTH PRESERVING?

EVERY WORKSHOP BEGINS IN SILENCE

EVERY MARK TELLS THE STORY OF SOMEONE WHO CAME HERE TO LEARN

every shaving is a reminder that knowledge is built one gesture at a time

Before learning a technique…

we learn to observe.

the most valuable moments rarely happen while the lathe is turning.

they happen between questions.

A workshop is not defined by its walls.

It is defined by the people who give it life.

So…

what is worth preserving?

For years, this place has quietly welcomed makers from around the world.

Some came to learn.

Some came to challenge themselves.

Some simply wanted time to think with their hands.

For many years I have had the privilege of welcoming students into this workshop.

What began as a place to make things gradually became a place to exchange ideas, experiences and ways of seeing.

Why now?

By the end of October 2026, we’ll know whether we have the opportunity to secure this place for the future.

Future workshop bookings don’t simply support today’s work, they help create the continuity needed to invest in tomorrow.

perhaps this is where our paths meet

A quiet thank you for helping this place continue.

Every person who has walked through this door has left something behind.

Not just a finished piece.

Ideas.

Questions.

Friendships.

Confidence.

Curiosity.

My hope is that this place continues to welcome makers for many years to come.

Perhaps one day, you’ll walk through this door too.
